Scene 1 with Colour Grading

for the opening, I wanted to experiment with giving this scene a warmer tone to it by using the colour settings depicted in the image below. Using the colour wheel and the saturation tool I was able to successfully give this scene a much warmer hue than previously, if I combine it with the flashback as the opening, this contrast between the two would have been clear. Signifying the calm before the conflict that had been shown to the audience prior.

A final cut of scene 4 before colour grading

This was the final cut without colour grading, having made all of the appropriate improvements I feel like this scene sets the correct tone I had always intended for it to have. The graphic match with the trees between the two shots of the character waling have been matched up well, in previous drafts the edit wasn't quick enough with drew too much attention towards the actual cut. Now however I believe it is paced well, the character is reintroduced as they come back into focus. The cut in with the note in the tree had caused difficulties initially, I had wanted it long enough for the character to read. However, this conflicted with the need for the pace to be quicker. Even the shot-reverse-shots had been cut and manipulated until they had the correct fast paced editing, enough to have a snappy suspenseful pace without being quick enough to break the immersive experience for the audience.
