My LinkedIn Social Media networking

 A huge part of finding employment as an art director in advertising would be building connections via social media, many jobs are not advertised and as such they can only be accessed by making connections with others in the industry. A professional social media used by media professionals of any variant is LinkedIn, which is why i  chose to set up an account here. I set it up in my name and made the banner and profile to follow the designing theme of my business card, making connections means being memorable and unique. Making myself a brand will help with this. On the banner i posted my professional email and a phone number so that they will be easily accessible. After setting up my account i started to join groups of media professionals specifically created for networking, this would allow me access to hundreds of discussions on up and coming events, job opportunities and to build professional connections for the future. This will get me into the circles that agency workers would be, drastically increasing my chances of employment in my chosen job role.  I also followed numerous key employees in  media including the BBC.
