For this draft, I added in the cut-ins of the character reaching for his key in the pocket and the extreme close up f his eyes reading the leaflet. Using the mouse and razor tools to cut and line them up until they matched the rest of the sequence. With the cut-ins included, the audience are able to properly follow the character's movements. I prefer this draft of scene 1 because of the range of shots it contains, with the added cut-ins I feel like the audience receive a fuller and more immersive visual that fully conveys what I happening in the narrative. Openings specifically are supposed to introduce the character quickly, and without the first scene I originally had planned it falls to this sequence to fulfil that. Not being able to properly follow what is happening damages the scene's ability to do this.
